Maple, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Overnight Oats

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups almond milk (I used regular milk)
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup pecans (chopped and toasted) I used walnuts

Instructions

  1. In two mason jars place half of the milk, oats and vanilla.  Stir to mix well

  2. In a small bowl combine, brown sugar, cinnamon, syrup (I added nuts).  Pour half of the mixture in each of the jars

  3. Refrigerate jars for at least 2 hours, or overnight

  4. Just before serving, toast pecans at 325 degrees for 5-7 minutes.  Sprinkle over the top

ADULT TASKS: Poured milk into the measuring cups, and helped measure out the cinnamon.

KID TASKS: Measured and put oats in jars, poured milk over and stirred. Added remaining ingredients together and stirred. Spooned mixture over the oats and milk and stirred.
