Simple Fruit Salad

Pulling grapes has been one of little miss two’s favorite kitchen activities so far. It is repetitive and simple, plus she loves grapes so she can sample them along the way. I like to have her do this when we are making our lunch to take with us, and put her pulled grapes into a ziploc or tupperware to take. Another idea is to make a delicious fruit salad, adding strawberries and cantelope to the pile of grapes and drizzling it with lime and honey…

That sounds delicious right now! So many grapes, so little time!

Simple Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries chopped
  • 1 canteloupe
  • 3 cups grapes
  • 1 lime
  • 1 Tbsp honey

Instructions

TODDLER TASKS

  1. Pull grapes off the vine until you have 3 cups. Place in a large serving bowl.

ADULT TASKS

  1. Chop strawberries, add to grapes.

  2. Chop canteloupe into bite sized pieces and add to the large bowl.

  3. Add juice and zest of the lime to the bowl, drizzle in 1 Tbsp of honey, and stir to coat.

  4. Keep chilled in the fridge until ready to serve. I wouldn't make this more than 1 day ahead of time. Toss the fruit one more time just before serving.
